Joco, you better off buying mask through diving store where you can fit-test it. It is going to cost you probably double of what price you can get through internet sales. But it may be your only option. If mask you are using right now is good then why would you want to upgrade. More expensive mask will not necessarily work better IMHO.

Fins - if you are planning on spearfishing then you would probably better off buying long blade bi-fins, like Gara 3000. I have a pair and those are great fins. You will be getting tired of course, they will not flop on their own :) so those probably not the ones you want.

Try monofins - those are even better propulsion, but may be awkward if you are spearfishing. Not cheap

Snorkel isn't worth upgrading unless there is something fundamentally wrong with the one you have.

Look into wetsuit upgrade, you never mentioned wetsuit but it probably is one of the more expensive piece of your freediving kit.

Nice piece of equipment to have is some kind of depth gauge, and bottom timer, like freediving computer or at least diving watch. But then, I used to use analog depth gauge (20$ from diving store junk pile) and it was more fun then digital gadgets I have now.

Have fun

HI Joco,

A couple of thoughts:

Tuba (snorkel in English):
I always go for simple ones with no valves & other drag-causing protuberances.
I get a wide-airway one that's not too long.
I would suggest only replacing the one you have now if it has significant breathing resistance or is causing a lot of drag

Fins
Do you feel like you have enough power to handle any currents you are enountering?
Are you happy with how fast you can swim right now?
Are the ones you use now comfortable for hours of swimming?
I would only recommend spending money on new fins if you have any desire to improve performance as described above.

Mask
Here's where it might pay good dividends to upgrade.
Even at 6m/20ft the lower your mask volume the better you will fare with equalizing and endurance.
If you have a wide face, my experience has been that the Aquasphere/Technisub Sphera mask fits wide faces really well, and equalizing is really nice with that mask.

I don't know of any stores in Ontario or Quebec that stock the Sphera for you to try on, but a few shops are selling them by mail order:

Sphera Mask

Also, if you should be coming down to Toronto sometime this summer, let me know & you could try one of mine while you're here.

Sphera is a good mask for freediving, but if he's gonna do any spearfishing (and he wrote he will) i wouldn't recommend it 'cause it distorts vision.

DIVE SAFE AND DIVE WISE MATE if yah need some stuffs just poke me :) il give some nice deals for yah

I personally use the omer alien and cressi superocchio.
The cressi is used more often because I love the low profile and its good when you need to go a bit deeper.

Check out this guide for buying a mask, it's helped me out a bunch
