So i just started spearfishing this summer july 2010, and i used a pole spear jbl and its amazing and i got good so i purchased first gun....and it sucked....btw im 16 so now i got myself a new riffe 2xs competitor and i am in love with it! its amazing! but im confused, i only go out around avalon and i usuall spearfish rock fish with polespear some with gun, but so far with my riffe i only got a couple white fish no white sea bass and the way i have assembeld my gun is by first a boat bumber just a normal on and a decent rope about 50feet long and connected to my gun so when i shoot i won't loose it. I noticed people who go open water there floats go underwater mine doesn't so my question being what do i do is it wrong if i use my boat bumber as a float....? if so please give me some tips thanks fellows =)
