Hi if you guys haven't met me yet, I'm THAT GUY. haha nah. Im Alex, you can find out more about me in the link http://forums.deeperblue.com/introductions-greets/80593-new-i-have-questions-what-drag.html

Anyways I was in the line for something minimal like a Jammer. A shorty is pushing it.
Well the dive shop didn't carry anything like that, but I was at the local department store browsing and stumbled upon Neoprene shorts by Weider in the fitness section.
"Keep the water weight off" haha and a jolly lady speed walking or something on the front. Not labeled but I'm sure its 5mm.
I decided to pick it up for a mere 13 bucks. The thigh part and groin area fit fine, the Problem is how far up the waist goes....
It up to my BellyButton! yeeek.:naughty
*Theres also a zipper on the side.
I figured I need to take off about 4 inches off the top. and I still want it to stay on me.
I'm thinking cut out the zipper. cut the top off, make a slit and somehow sew on the zipper again? Can you do that with just needle thread?
Im not too good with these kind of things, and wondering if my idea was the brightest?? Whats the opinion/suggestion on this idea or another one?

Does it need the zipper? Wear a rashguard and keep the waist high. If you lower the waist they may slide off too easy. They will probably move more free in the water than when dry. The rashguard will help hide the high waist and help keep water from flooding into them.

Ah darn! I just don't wanna be looking like granny when I get out of the waters..I was hoping to customize these neoprene shorts make them like "Low-rise"
haha designer neoprene...hmmm.

I would think modifying them would be easy. It's just my guess that they will catch water and slide down.
