Ok guys... I think this thread is in the wrong place, sorry.

Well... I think in need to become much better at hunting... I want to dive deeper, better, stronger: strategy, not the TM of your gun!

My pulse is about 80 beats per min :)naughty :naughty )!I am 15 years,180cm,thin.

So, I was thinking of bike or running (? 800m per day?)? But some of you said that
its not really useful (because my body gets used too much to O² etc.).

So, my question is:

 "What sport should I participate to become better at diving/holding breath etc. (spear fishing)?"

THANK YOU!

THANK YOU!

the best thing to do to get better at spearfishing/freediving is practising it! It's ofcourse not exactly the answer you want to hear but to get better at any sport it's best to practice the sport itself. Everything else like cardiovasculair training, or weightlifting is additional training to support the sport you're doing. So spearfish/freedive as much as you can, and if you want to get better dive with a plan!

Hi there our spearfishing club has a underwater hockey game once a week and I found that my performance underwater and my breathold time increased dramatically after a few games cause its also a cardio workout so fitness also increases. This game was originally designed by spearos for times when wheather did not permit diving. So look into it and see if there is a club in your area otherwise just get a few mates together and have a go at it, youll need a minimum of 8 people to make the game worthwhile. The only downfall is that it makes you want to move fast and chase your prey underwater, as its a fast paced game and you get into that mindset so do a few slow laps through the pool afterwards just to get back into the calmer state of finning and floating in the water.
Save Diving :)

Hi,
welcome to the club!!!, before getting into the technical training stuff, get in shape!!
Running, cycling, going to the gym might not be the best way for specialists to increase their breathhold, but you need to have a base, I think it is important to feel good, be in shape.
If you are down there, you need confidence in your own body, it will increase your bottom time.
But the most important thing is doing it!!
Good luck!!

Find a nice big SOFT field. Relax and slowly inhale and exhale. When you feel very relaxed take a nice big slow breath using your belly to start and working up to the shoulders. Walk as far as you can across the SOFT surface holding your breath untill you can go no more or black out ( Soft! ) Mark your distance and try to add a bit of distance each time you do it. There is method in this madness, just dont do it while driving down a motorway!

That will help lots. If you want any more help feel free to send me a Message.

Thank you for thoes tipps... they made me know more.

I will want to try the i dea of almostafish.... TODAY!

THANKS!

If you've got access to a treadmill, put it on a steep incline and keep pace to a very brisk walking speed, It won't improve your breath holds but it will strengthen your legs for finning, it's the closest thing I've come across for a dry exercise to help with wet ones:)
