help with neptonics line release,

i just got a neptonics trigger for my next speargun project and the line release has led to a couple of questions: where exactly do i mount the set screw that works as a fulcrom for the release? it seems that it would be centered on the slot on trigger, but how far FROM the trigger does it need to be? also, there is no spring to reset it, is that normal? on my riffe guns, all have a spring. is it missing?or just doesnt call for one. i will take some pics and post them in here, soon.

i think it may actually be an aimrite trigger sold by neptonics. it fits riffe spears, (like aimrite) and it looks identical, plus wong(aimrite) sells neptonics float lines with THEIR name on it , so maybe it is reciprocal relationship. either way it is a SOLID trigger! ken jones(deathstick spearguns maker/ owner) told me they are awesome and easy to fit , since they fit in a 1/2 inch slot. so that is why i got one. and the price is right. did you get the delrin track and the router bit? i did and i am gonna make a sick blue water teak laminate- full enclosed track for a 65" 9/32 spear with kitto slip tip. i cant wait.!

yes, i was sent a threaded rod with a slotted end for "pinning" the line release. i got the "tuna" trigger but it looks the same on the pic as the "reef" i am gonna make custom jig to cut the line release slot. when i do maybe i could send it to you and you could use it and send it back.looking at this build, that is gonna be the hardest part.i was given the perfect solution as to how to do it from Deathstick maker. as far as neptonics is concerned, josh seems really cool and will make good on whatever. but i ordered the delrin track insert, with the router bit to match. DONT get that! it isnt good. the track on the one i got was cut off center and too small to allow easy passage of the spear, so i am sending it back and getting the ball end bit instead. i did some research and now i am just taking a 1/2" router bit and making a 1/2"x 1/2" deep groove by 55" down the center of the stock. (neptonics triggers fit into 1/2" groove) then make a little dam out of duct tape about 3 1/2" from trigger end and fill entire groove with epoxy mixed with graphite. leaving out the 3 1/2" slot for trigger. THEN cut a 1/4" x 1/4" groove into the epoxy with the SAME jig you used for 1/2" track,( thus being perfectly centered on trigger slot ) then you run your ball end bit through the 1/4" slot just keep changing bits but leave your jig on the router table the same the whole way through and you will always be on centerif you do it this way, your trigger will align with the track perfectly every time, and the epoxy and graphite mix is slick as grease and will bond to the stock making it stronger, if you dont do it this way, you are faced with trying to align trigger with your wood track, which is a HUGE pain in the arse, as far as where to place the pin that holds the relese, i am gonna make a mock barrel with the same dimensions and fit the triggerand try it to make sure where to put it exactly, when i do i will let you know, i just sent two barrels to wisconsin to be "trued" by a friend who works in a huge millwork company. when i get them back i will start working on them. what kind of laminates did you use? i used teak and some ipe glued together like an "
H" configuration
