Help with the AB Biller 32 Special Mahogony

Hey guys I am new to spearfishing and just signed up on the forums. I looked up on the forums how to rig a spear and found out how to do it, but I have a problem. In the tutorials the line is supposed to go through a hole behind the notches or in front of the notches on the spear, but the spear for my AB Biller 32 Special does not have a hole. Is the 32 special rigged a special way? If anyone could help me out that would be great, thanks.
 
The only hole is the one in the spear tip itself, which I do not think is used for rigging as I have not heard of a hole there in all of the tutorials and videos I watched. Also I would find it hard to believe that the only hole is on an easily detatchable part of the spear.
 
When you say the spear tip do you mean the pointy end or the trigger end?
If it is the trigger end then yes that is where you tie your line!
 
A lot of older design speargun shafts have small "stops" at the back end of the shaft. I think Billers are the same. The shafts are made to use a slide, to which the line attaches and which fits into to the muzzle of the gun with the shaft going through it. Pull the trigger, the shaft fires out and takes the slide (and line) with it. the "stops" prevent the slide from coming off the back end of the spear. Works fine and is very durable, but is loud underwater.

I always shot my Sea Hornet (very similar to Biller) free shaft(much better system if the water is clear and not too deep). It needed a special shaft and slide to make it a line gun.

YES that is exactly how my spear is, problem is there is no slide. Thank you that makes a lot of sense, I will go down to the dive shop soon and see if they have slides or if mine was defective for not coming with one. Thank you for answering, helped a lot.
