I've found out it's possible to rent a lane at Helston Pool for just £10 an hour. It's a good long pool, 25m I think.

Is anyone around and up for some dynamic training?

Sounds like a good deal. We often went at midday and used to end up getting our underused local pool to ourselves or ourselves plus one other family. They've just made it so kids swim free (great idea I think - keeps them off the streets, gets rid of excess energy & heck they might learn to swim & save your life one day) and seniors (cheaper than medical care but they'll probably live to be 150) . So the pools are starting to fill up with unprofitable customers with unlimited time to lark around - private lanes could become popular!

mmmm newbies who are happy to learn quick are fine! I'm lucky for buddies more than students but if you can turn into a buddy after a couple of sessions that would work!
