Freediving is many facetted. The Hemmoor Apnoe Happening is Germany’s only event, that offers something for everyone, whether novice or experienced freediver. At the Kreidesee Hemmoor (a former chalk quarry) near Stade in Lower Saxony, you’ll be able to try out everything imaginable with just a mask, snorkel and fins!

Hi Veronika,

as far as I know it´s still possible to "just show up" and not register beforehand.

The same goes for being able to camp: there is a regular camp ground right next to the lake and it really takes a while to fill up: We might be a growing community but still not that many people
