Hey everyone. I found this site while I was deployed and became an instant fan of free diving. Now I am back home in C.T and trying to find a club/ instructor/classes/ anything that can get me on the right step of becoming a free diver. I have been searching and contacting local dive shops with no such luck. It's like it doesn't exist around my area. So hopefully you guys could point me in the right direction. And I am pumped I found this forum.
Thanks guys.

Hey benji, welcome to DB. Freediving does exist in CT, though all of the divers I know are spearfishermen. In fact as we speak the Tri-State Freedivers is in the process gathering members for its first year. I don't think they have a website yet but will get you a link as it becomes available. Local dive shops don't really have a clue about freediving except Newport Freedive. Contact Rob the owner, super nice guy who will have more info for you.Newport Free Dive Co. | New England Freediving and Spearfishing Equipment, News and Events Unfortunately cannot help you with finding formalized instruction or classes though.

Thanks for the welcome guys and thank you Jason w. for that info. Much appreciated.
