Hi I'm from Bangkok, Thailand, just start to learn freediving about month. I'm now really into it. Glad to know this forum and will be around to learn more about freeding.

Welcome to Deeper Blue, Ajake. It is always nice and unfortunately rather rare to see new members from Asia. And even less of them at freediving competitions. Thailand has some freediving bases with good teachers. For example our DB member Sanso teaches on Koh Lanta. Recently he became Master Instructor:

AIDA 4* courses available - Richard is Master Instructor

And there are also yearly competitions there - the Andaman Challenge. Unfortunately it looks like there are only few locals interested in the competing - currently I see only four Thais in the ranking (and only a single man among them!):

So if you are passionate about freediving, I'd recommend visiting one of the freediving centers and taking a course with them. In a few days you'll learn more than in years of reading forums or experimenting alone. I hope their prices are accessible to the local population too, and not only targeted to tourists. It would be very nice to have another Thai competitor. As you see in the ranking, you have a good chance to become a national record holder - the current best Thai performances are well in the reach.

Yes, Andrea is a member here on Deeper Blue too, although he has quite a cryptic user name, so you will not recognize him easily. You are in good hands.
