I'm new on this forum and I want just to say hello to other passionates . I like spearfishing and freediving as well. I think for me it's no other that nice and beautiful like a sea or ocean. And i hope that I many years more can enjoy this blue element...regards...cubano

Hi Tarek I'm at moment in Switzerland but I go 2-3 times in a year to Cuba, do spearfishing with my Cuban local speros. How are you doing in Dubai? Are there many nice places for spearfishing? Or do you also like me have to go far away for good spots? Thanks and best regards from Goran
The weather now is very nice in Dubai.There are some good spots in Dubai and I go some times to Sharjah which is a bout 40 km from where I live.

Hey Cubano, I'm moving to the Zurich area in a few weeks time... Do you know if you are allowed to spearfish in the lakes in Switzerland? Have you checked them out already? I reckon it's worth a look with a pole spear... What do you think?

In Switzerland you can't do spearfishing not in lakes or rivers there is no possibility to get license for underwater hunting. Be carefully don't try spearfishing here in Switzerland even with hidden pole spear otherwise it would cost you a fortune, law is here very, very hard and protect almost all animals.
I don't do even normal fishing here with the line and rod, because of such complicated law, each river and lake has his own law and this hobby costs a lot here.
I prefer tropical warm waters of Cuba and Caribbean as child I did spearfishing in Mediterranean-see in Croatia, Montenegro and Greece.
If you can it would be better to go in one of these countries when you come to live here in Zurich, you are less than a 1-2h away with a plane.
I wish you nice stay here and who knows maybe we see us somewhere along the way...
