Hello to everyone!

I am getting heavily into fitness at the moment, and wish to swim the channel using fins, so thought this would be a good place to learn.

I have done some scuba diving in Malaysia and the UAE, and some open water fin swimming too.

Am now going to be really working my fitness (marathon perhaps later this year) in preparation to do the channel to France (21 miles).

All help and advice greatly appreciated! especially in regards to cold water handling (I have low BF levels of 10-12%) and fin selection.

Thanks!

Hi TT6sp, welcome to DB!

I have never heard of anyone swimming the channel using fins. I don't know anything about open water fin swimming, but maybe someone here knows more.

Some threads about cold water handling, I don't know if they are any use...
