Hi folks,

I'm a Freediver based in Ottawa Canada. I dive mostly rivers at the base of rapids and where rivers flow into lakes. My interest lies in whats been lost by loggers, voyageurs and modern day canoists. I'm hopeing to make some new friends and to meet some like minded dive partners.
I'm a scuba diver as well but gave up blowing bubbles for the freedom of breath hold diveing years ago.

Cheers Beth

Hello Beth, welcome to db.
What kind of things do loggers etc lose?
Sounds like it might be fun.

You know; lumberjack shirts, buttered scones and tea, wild flowers, best girls etc.

Very cool!

I'm from Toronto. You don't want what ends up at the base of the Don river where it flows into lake Ontario.

Just a tip, in case you are ever out this way! LOL

Apneaddict,

I've walked across the Don and I have to agree with you. Though have you ever seen were the Ganaraska river in Port Hope flows into Lake Ontario. There are signs along the river bank that say this soil is contaminated by non radio active waste.

Beth
