Hi,

done a bit of scuba, but very new to this not breathing idea - just got some spear kit and am trying to work out what to with it, might end up that the freedive training becomes the 1st love, but who knows.

Thanks

Gav

Welcome from Texas--dive safe & shoot straight!

Hi, also from Brisbane, and happen to be named Gav also!

Welcome OTGav! You guys in Brisbane must be stoked to live where you do! With the coral sea so close, warm water etc - and big spearfishing community? (Was trying to hook up work on a spearfishing or fishing charter a while back - I live in South Africa - but not too much success). Do you guys have access to good freediving conditions? ie deep water, easily accessible, calm, clean, no currents etc?

hey OTGAV

welcome to a new world, there are some pretty good divers in and around brisbane/ gold coast you even have an AIDA trainer and an EX world record holder not far away.

Check out www.qldfreediving.com this should help you on your way

Conditions here are good - but need a boat, am loving the water the few times the weather is clear at the moment.

Thanks for the welcome.
