I've just started freediving this season, and i can't get enough of it!

im from donegal, and i tend to dive around the mouth of lough swilly, there seems to be plenty of large pollock and what i think are wrasse in abundance, but i hav'nt got the diving down well enough to even start to think about spearing yet, plus im using a terrible snorkel and mask with an even worse set of fins, im moving to glasgow in september for uni and i hope to train in pools over there and gather an acceptable kit whilst there, and i'd also like to have a go at an aida**, where are the best spots in ireland for a dive?

Everywhere... we have lots of great sites on offer, but its just a case of watching and reading the weather...
We were insligo yesterday and the viz was savage at greater than 14m with flat calm conditions... we drove home to cork and the water was muddy 200m out to the ocean with 1.5m swell...

sweet, thats a long drive, dedication! see thats my problem, im the only person in my area who is in to diving, well a few of my mates give it a go, but they can hardly equalise which makes it difficult to push myself at all, as the possibility of rescue if something went wrong is out the window, id love to dive with more experienced divers, because everything i know about diving i've gotten off the internet, so pointers from some1 in the know would be awesome,

Read every post from the above forum going back over the years and you'll learn a hell of a lot and find divers nearby you I reckon!
