Since my early childhood I was fascinated by the adventures of Hans Hass, Jacques Cousteau and other divers. When in the Water I spend most of the time snorkeling or apnoe diving. When I moved to Greenville, NC for studying purposes at East Carolina University (ECU) I got the opportunity to join a NAUI Openwater Diver class and acquired my entry certification for the world under the waterline. Later I continued with SSI to become a Scuba Masterdiver and then again I became also a PADI Master Scuba Diver. Meanwhile, a few thousand dives later, as a PADI IDC Staff Instructor I am still thrilled by the underwater world. I stayed intentionally within the recreational diving and only use a stage cylinder or a twin pack every now and then. I have been diving the Northern Sea, Baltic Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Atlantic, Indian Ocean (Maldives) and a lot of freshwater seas and quarries. I like to do underwater photography with my Canon 7D dslr and I love giving scuba classes.
