I'm planning on spending a month near Playa Coco, Costa Rica starting Christmas 2011 and it has renewed my long-abandoned interest in spearfishing. I've been a certified diver since 1983, and started spearfishing in my youth. When I moved to Ontario from Alberta, I gave away my guns since any form of spearfishing is illegal here.

Welcome from west of you. And there's been some discussion here about spearfishing legally in Ontario.
