Hi, I'm a longtime swimmer and lifeguard. My younger brother and I just got our Open Water Certifications. Some people consider me an amature freediver, but my open water swimming experience is very low and I have never taken an official class. The water is cold around here, so drysuits are almost required, even when the air temperature is above 90F. Still, I'm looking forward to many dives, time and money permitting. I'll be taking a geology class in Hawaii this summer, so I'm hoping to slip in a dive somewhere.
