Highlights of 2010

Hey guys!

I was just interested to see what memorable experiences people have had this year and what their targets are for next year!

Personally, my highlights include:

1) Hitting both my targets set this time last year of a 10lb pollock and a 6lb bass.
2) Being liberated with a kayak and discovering some ridiculously emotive scenery
3) Winning a FOM

2011 targets:

1) A Welsh double figure bass
2) Find a spot less than three hours from where I live!

Nice one Daffyd. Are you planning to move house in 2011?

For me highlights have been plenty, including collecting scallops this time last year, diving off the yak in June with water so clear i could see the bottom detail in 8m of water, doing the Aida ** course at Vobster (so much fun that i'm planing a return trip this year ) and some slightly 'offshore' dives from the yak.

For 2011, i hope to freedive the Schole bank (on the way to Alderney from Guernsey) and ideally finding a turbot at the same time , and hopefully learning to relax more when diving deeper, which i'm not very good at yet.

Hah no Jonny, just hopefully starting a new degree at Uni!

Failing that if I don't get in, buying a house+boat in Pembrokeshire - just got to let the girlfriend know now.

Considering I've managed to get to the sea maybe 3 times this year, 2010 Highlights were:

1) Discovering the joys of a kayak - such a good buy!

2) Bashing my first mullet - damn tasty!

3) Finding epic little beaches that no-one else can get to and having them all to myself

2011 Goals

1) 5lb+ Bass (had this goal last year )

2) Dive a little bit deeper

3) Get to the coast more often!!!
