Hey guys I have a question. What is the difference with hip or chest loading?

I think i have a chest loading gun, but i can load it with my hip...

Whats the difference?

Hip loading works with mid handled guns (very popular in Amrica) or with long aiguns kitted tih a foldable loading pad, or with shorter airguns.

Rear handled pistol shaped bandguns (that is: every european bandgun) must be loaded on the chest (or better on the abdominals).

Seriously though, there is no physical way I could have loaded my Gabbiano from the chest as I couldn't reach the bands with both hands - it was impossible to pull with a single hand.

There is no way I could pull those 20mm bands and an articulated wishbone (think finger chopper ;) ) with a single hand! They were stiff!

Interestingly, I just found out that a Gab 90 TRB is around the same size as a 105 / 110 'normal' band gun. No wonder I found it too big for North Wales :D

Now that is interesting, could you possibly measure the Gab 90 total length without the spear?

Seatec measure their barrels from the rear spear notch, which leaves an extra 5+cm 'unmeasured'. That's makes it a 95.

Then you've got the TRB head which effectively adds another 15+ cm of extra 'barrel', which makes it closer to a 110.

Thanks but I was interested in the overall length of the gun without the spear.

I will measure my Omer 90 & 115 air guns later = total length of gun.

Bros, I suspect you're the owner of a Gabbiano 100, not 90. I do have a Gabbiano 100 Trb, and its barrell is 89 cm long.
More, from the picture you posted, and the measurements you've given, the shaft of your gun could not have such a long overhang if it was a regular 130cm shaft that's sold standard with Gabbiano 90.

I really hope I'm not mixing you up for nothing, my friend. But honeslty I do suspect somebody sold you a 100 for a 90.

I will apologize if I'm wrong.

I just measured my XXV 90 = 1110mm overall lenth... Omer 90 with tomba free shaft kit fitted = 890mm... asso 115 with mamba kit = 1160mm.

I got taught a way of loadIng long guns (eg 110+ rob Allen, and it worked for a gabiano 100). Basically you hold the butt of the gun in one hand, and one of the rubbers in the other. Using the elasticity of the bands slide your hand (holding the butt) towards your chest, then with the same hand push the gun into the chest loading pad. Then reach the bands with your other hand and load.

Sorry for the naff explanation, hope it helped a bit tho

Heres a short vid I found. Watch the guys hand positioning before the gun is slid into the chest.

The arms can be Out stretched as long as you want. You just have to extend your arm holding the butt

Ah, that would have worked perfectly if I'd had nice stretchy 16mm bands with dyneema BUT the bands I had on the gun were just stupidly stiff, there was no way someone could have loaded it in the method shown in the video. I tried a few times with no joy :vangry

It just takes time and practice mate. If m right I can chest load the exact gun you are saying about as I think you sold it to my brother through here : )
