Hello,

name is Shane and I am from North Louisiana. Free divining for muscles and just goofing off is the extent of my underwater ventures however now I find myself wanting to settle down a bit and get the family involved in diving and fishing.

I found this site and think it too be quite awesome for the neophyte like me and the ppl seem friendly as well. Feel free to ask me anything and the light is always on :) :friday

Diving for muscles?? as in fresh water mussels? where? good to eat?

A few years back here in Louisiana fresh water muscles were worth their weight in gold. Not real sure why they were but a few friends asked me to come and help harvest them. It was fun and a tad nerve racking at first. You never know just what you are sliding your hands onto in the black waters of a bayou.
