Thanks again to Martyn and Sarah, what a superb spread of food, excellent company and a great evening. Cheers!!

A 'close relative' of mine hosting yet another splendid soiree!
Nice one Mart & Sarah!
Thanks also to those who 'coughed up' what is technically an illegal ingredient( first course);to the fishermen who had to face unpleasant conditions this week to bring home the lobbies;and to Mr & Mrs Sarnian
for delish pud and ongoing photographic record.
Thanks to all for very congenial company.
(Look where that crab has settled on Mart's apron!)

Yes, great night last night and mainly thanks to Mart (and Sarah) but a round of applause to everyone for the excellent company :thankyou.

Fishing has been poor not helped by the weather (and personally by my crap shooting) but thought I'd enter my wrasse from yesterday in the August CI FOM if I could find the thread (hint, hint, magpie). It went 5.5lb.

Sorry Boss, done now.

Good to meet some of you boys from the mainland last night, and thanks to Mart, Sarah, Colin and Mandy for the tasty food (Waiting for that link to the cheap hearts Podge, do they do new arteries as well?).

Sorry to have missed you guys - dad's birthday meal carried on into the night ... but hoping to catch the lobfest next year ! Looked like a blast !
Ed

likewise sorry to have missed out, looks like a great party really sorry to have missed out. Now back in circulation. Working this week though, and 'things' on every evening
:-(

No reports from Podge etc so I assume no luck yesterday, and conditions looking no better today, with high tide warnings for the West coast!

A few more pics of Saturday, taken just for Spaniard ( sorry!)

Looks like I missed a fine ol' time

Regrettably I wasn't able to drop by at all on Sunday eve as hoped - I was looking forward to meeting you all.

Gonna have to be next year! (I'm sure there'll be something on cards already!!)

.. just as well it's not Beard of the Month Competition!

Just waiting to see the pics of all those mackerel ( and mackeral!) being caught by Podge & co!

The final few pics from the Foxfest now attached! More captions?

Great stuff, we are off for a farewell chinese meal tonight but considering that the ferry has been stuck in port for two days it might not be their last night at all?

On a serious note I can't believe how the UK boys have let the side down by spending the whole time eating and drinking and failing to catch a 10Ib Bass!! Last year was conducted far more professionally and I hope you are all ashamed of yourselves you spearfishing hooligans! :rcard:t:rcard Top marks for the hosts again it seems; Podge I want you on a detox my boy when you get back.

Just got off the phone with Podge, the line wasn't very clear, I think he said he'd eaten 12 Chinese?? Someone in the background was bringing him beer; good god what has happened? No fish to speak of, spearing in chocolate custard was mentioned, I think...? Where are the sensible people to tell it as it is? I think Podge and Jim are planning to pilot the ferry back tomorrow themselves.

rofl Mate you know him well!
We had a fantastic meal & adequate amounts to drink - that is why Jim has taken the others to the pub!!
Graham will be here for a few more days but the official Fish-in is over & OMD will have his name on the trophy, one bass & one wrasse caught in the most uninviting conditions deserves the honorable possession of the trophy for the next 12 months.
See you guys next year.
