I have to tweak the angle as my ankles aren't so flexible any more and I have to do some finishing and maybe a little painting but it feels quite stiff compared to monofins I used to own and it is super comfortable and cost me £2.50 so far for some screws.
I will finish it over the winter ready for next year.

Just to add
the idea behind the design was to bring together the comfort of the shoes with the simplicity of the regular fin blade with no moving parts.
The plate is designed to reduce the v shape you see on so many blades when they are being kicked, which causes water to spill from the sides of the fin. this works by spreading the kick force over a wider portion of the blade not just the middle.
