home made spear and sling help.

hi all.

i would love to make myself some pole spears and a hawaiian sling.

but need speck..and measurement and pictures sna videos etc etc.


any help is cool.

I make my pole spears out of 5/16" OD stainless or spring (better if you can find and afford it) steel rods. Stay away from aluminum, it bends very easily. For tips I use bowfishing arrow tips, the ones with flopper barbs. They get glued on with archery glue called ferruletite. Then I drill a hole near the butt of my spear to thread a pre-made polespear band through. Works great and is cheaper than buying one.
