Does any one have any ideas where I can find an english copy of Homo Delphinus: The Dolphin Within Man other then on Amazon, they do have copies but the only way to buy from them is with a credit card and I don't have any credit cards these days. I found a copy on ebay that would take a cheque or money order but I refuse to pay $55.00us shipping and handling for a book that is only $51.00us from them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You could get a mastercard debit card, which has no credit, but works on credit card sites. I have a paypal mastercard debit card. You just put money on the card then use it like a credit card. I even get 1.5% cash back.

Otherwise maybe a friend who lives nearby might order it for you?

You can order direct from the publisher (based in Orlando, Miami) at:

If you write and ask for an alternative method of payment then Maurizio may be able to sort something out.

I dealt with Maurizio when I ordered some copies of Umberto's Manual of Freediving. He is very friendly, approachable, professional and reliable, which was a huge relief when the books arrived in Australia in a timely manner and in perfect condition (sorry Stephan, this was well before Deeper Blue were selling them).

Cheers,
Ben

Does anyone know if this book is still available at a reasonable cost? I'm sure it's good, but on Alibris is about £430 and on Amazon.co.uk £780.

I'd love to read it, I doubt they have it in my library, but I can't quite afford those prices just yet!

Hi Hardy (no offense intended),

IF you trust me, you could bank transfer me $101.48 (Amazon.com price including postage to Canada), and I'd be glad to make the purchase for you with my credit card and have it send to your address.

Alternatively, try to run a test purchase of the book on Amazon.com and check the other payment methods on the site. They speak of 'Pay with new Bank Account' and 'Pay by check or money order', which I'm not sure what implies.

I just noticed Amazon has dropped the prize for Homo Delphinus to 60$.

After more than a year wait I have received the book from amazon.com. The book is printed in December, 2006.
