Hoping to get into spearfishing

Hi everyone,

I really want to start spearfishing, i have my PADI open water diving certificate, but i am still really inexperienced in diving. I would love to get into free diving spear fishing and i'm hoping to get some much needed advice through this forum, already read some great stuff here.
I live in central scotland, does anyone know of any good areas to spearfish in the shallows that i could potentially visit once i'm clued up?
I might be going to South Africa, Durban/Capetown in the summer so could potentially do some spearfishing there, which i imagine would be amazing!!

Wow, thanks for that clear conscious direction. We do quite a bit in n.Wales and know if spearos in Scotland. Drop me a line bud
