I've been trying to determine if the depth of a wooden Speargun track has any positive/negative effect on the spear accuracy.
I'm not talking about the enclosed track in this thread.
In some wooden guns, the tracks (rail) is very shallow; just covering about 1/4 of the spear….in other wooden guns, the rail covers almost 3/4 spear.
Does this make any difference …..the spear becoming more accurate since it is more or less "guided" by the deep track more than a spear in a shallow track.
