How do I pack without holding my nose?

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.

I thought that blocking my nose and packing was the way to do "packing" but since spending a few days with "real" freedivers they thought it humerous that I do it that way.

I've tried to do it without blocking my nose but air just comes out my nose. Obviously my soft palete is in the neutral position but I cant figure out how to close it? Any ideas?
