where do you measure the barrel of a gun to determine what size it is? is it the overall barrel length from end to end? or is it the barrel from in front of the trigger to the muzzle? or , choice #3: the length from trigger to band slot? seems like it should be the second one . i just measured my new homemade euro gun at 139.7 cm from trigger to muzzle or 55" . Overall the gun is 62" or 155 cm. is this considered a 140cm ?or a 130cm? since it is 130 cm or about 51" from trigger to band slot.?

It's the length of the tube, at least with my Rob Allen guns.

to give you a short answr, there is not one way to do that....
usually in wooden guns made in the us, there is reference to "stock length" which is the length of the wood, euro sometimes (most often) would refer to the lengthe of the barrel from "joint to Joint" first joint being between the handle and barrel (just infront of the handle) to the joint between barrel and muzzle. there is also the measurement gun which is equivalent to "band stretch" from muzzle to second notch on spear... depends on who you talk to really :)

in that case i am gonna call it a 130cm since my riffe euro 110 is about 48 inches from trigger(110cm) to muzzle, and mine is 55" (130 cm? i think) something like that i posted some pics of the gun unfinished, i put the first coat of teak oil last night
