how long can you take off?

It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Seeing how training can be as simple as walking while holding your breath or sitting down doing tables I don't see why it would be an issue.

about 4 months back i didnt train for about 3 weeks and my PB static was shaved in half. i got it back up in 5 days using the info from learnfreediving.com so i train all the time now. even walking to my next class is training because apnea walking is so conveniant

in Pelizzarri's manual he recommends taking off several months each year - plenty of freedivers take the winter off and do OK. I have always got back up to my PBs within a few weeks of training even after 3 or 4 months off.

One thing that helps is making sure that you have all your routines written down somewhere - so that when you come back into training you know exactly what kind of breath up, recovery, tables, weighting etc you were using before and can go straight back into it rather than having to work it all out again

I didn't do any kind of freediving training for about 4 months. The only training I did was in the gym, with weights. After those months I did my first static session and I beat my previous PB with almost half a minute (5:26).
