I am having surgery tomorrow on a compressed (trapped?) ulnar nerve in my elbow and also in my wrist. The doc here in Cyprus was very vague when I asked him what the recovery period would be and how long it would keep me out of the water for.

Anyone had any experience of this type of surgery and/or any ideas about how long the recovery period is likely to be? Would just be nice to know roughly what to expect thats all - the docs here are quite good at not answering a specific question!

I would imagine it is a relatively small operation (incision wise anyway), it should heal up quite quickly. I would think as soon as you have good shiny scar tissue instead of a scab you should be fine for freediving, so two - three weeks? unless of course you have been out with Murat and youve become a devoted spearo :D in which case its going to be a lot longer :(
