hi all :)

just bought a 7mm l1s suit and it's a bit tight in the neck, not too tight, but my throat did get a bit sore after an hour or so, any chance it'll stretch a bit with wear? or maybe I could stretch it out by putting something inside the neck to hold it stretched for a day or two?

it's made with yamoto 39 neoprene

I'd try putting something in it, that is a bit larger than your neck.

I've done this before with a double-lined neoprene off the rack suit (not 7mm, but still) and it stretched well. I've used plastic tubs / containers, my laundry pile, etc. :D

I decided to wait a bit and see if it would work itself out, good thing too, the problem was that my hood kept slipping off my chin because of the lube I use to get into the suit causing pressure on my adams apple, a quick flush of my hood and the problem disappears :) the face seal is plenty sticky to stay in place with the lube gone .

I love this suit, I was using a cheap 3/2 Bare one piece with a detached hood and there was always water sloshing around in my suit, with this one after a couple hours in the water the conditioner/water mix I use to get into the suit is still there, don't know what I'm gonna do if I have to pee though, 'cause in this suit there's no way to flush it out :( maybe a pee valve...

I didn't realize how much more energy it takes to move in a heavy suit like this, after 2 hours in the water I'm just beat, it's a fantastic workout and since that's why I started swimming in the first place it's win win :) .

the 7mm suit is maybe a bit thicker than I needed, been getting pretty warm in the water, think it'll be fine in another month or two though, I think maybe next spring I'll buy a 3mm for the summer, I'll see how this one holds up.
