to Trick or Treat??

I'm sitting hear passing the time, handing out candy, while my wife is out with the kids. I swear the last kid who came to my door needed a shave! I thought at some point kids grew out of this stuff and just went and bought their own candy? :head

I think by time I needed to shave I was past the trick or treating phase and heavily into smashing pumpkins or playing Ding-Dong-Ditch.

Well, I gave it up at 23.:t Most people seem to think I'm 10 years younger than I am. rofl

It's a pretty recent trend. Lots of young adults have started wearing costumes, too.

I don't have any trouble at all with Trick-Or-Treating here in the hood. All the good neighbors in Plantation have been very nice to me so far this evening, and I have loads of candy now, here in my sack. Why I Love Florida - Here, I'm a youngster.

Real, non-expired, non-nutritive, non-zero fat grams, honest-to-goodness rot-your-teeth candy? Nice. If you lived in my family's neighborhood, you'd have gotten little packets of dried fruit from my mother (who called to complain that she never gets any kids), and my sister would have lavished you with KitKats... "from last year."

No kids in my bldg... alone, nursing my hypoglycemic gloom with a can of icy-cold diet Pepsi... A safe and good night to all!

Rob,

Glad to hear your daughter had fun. I am sure that she had an appropriate outfit on.

My wife was a little aghast at the 12 year old girl who showed up to our door in the whore/witch outfit. No way my daughter is going out the door looking like that- she might change into that later on but not leaving the house that way. ;)

My Kids asked if the could go Trick or Treating,

In Bloody AUSTRALIA.:head :head :head

Nothing against the USA, BUT when i was kid we didnt even know what it was.

Now with the whole world becoming MTVd and Big Macked it seems that Americain culture is getting its roots in Every where.

So I had to try to explain to them that it is not Australian and and we are not Americia and we dont do it, and the kids that do need a clip around the head.

Im fighting to keep Australia Australian and my kids will never go trick or treating no matter how much they winge and the ones that knock on my door will get a big "" Do I Look Bloody Americain to YOU''

I have nothing against the USA but with Johny Howard ( our P.M) having his nose jamed tight up Bushes arse we are getting a little to close for comfort.

An answer to the How Old Question. If you have hair down stairs then it time to give it up

BatRay, sure it's not just the new fashiontrend? The kids wear some strange stuff these days...=)

In sweden we don't have t-or-t, but a similar thing at easter....but i don't give the kids any candy anyway, they should learn not to beg!!

Mmmmm. . . . K i t K a t s s s ......

apparently the Brits have spend £12million on Halloween this year, third after Christmas and Easter and ten time what we spent 3 years ago...

we got "hit" three times last night and didn't have a single piece of candy in the house (it's banned cos I eat it if its within a mile of me!). Luckily the kids around here aren't too mean and nothing happened - apart from someone tramping on the head of our pet toad which happened to be hopping around outside...
