Hey everyone.

Here is a video (in my signature) on how you can hold your breath longer. I get this question a lot so I just did a video on this to share to everyone who needs help with this topic. Hope you enjoy.

Hey bro,

He he he you are doing good 4:15 is a great time. Contractions is a natural reaction from the body, it's nothing we can rid of. If your contractions comes after 2 minutes I thing this is not a bad thing when you are doing static apnea on land. I know it can be hard sometimes but just try to relax and embrace them. The more you train the easier it will get for your mind to learn to accept them. On the above you are training co2 tolerance. It is good to also train o2

rest - 2:00 min ; hold - 1:00 min
rest - 2:00 min ; hold - 1:15 min
rest - 2:00 min ; hold - 1:30 min
rest - 2:00 min ; hold - 1:45 min
rest - 2:00 min ; hold - 2:00 min
rest - 2:00 min ; hold - 2:15 min
rest - 2:00 min ; hold - 2:30 min
rest - 2:00 min ; hold - 2:30 min

C the difference? On this chart we raise the "hold" but keep the resting period at the same time. Combine these two charts in you training. Doing the one chart one day and the other another day. You can raise the hold period for in this chart, for example if its too easy you can put another 15 seconds on every hold and then 15 more etc. And also like every type of training your body needs to rest a day or two from time to time. Don't forget that :)

Great job.

Just returned from Dahab (annual summer trip w. Danish Freediving) and saw your video.

This is exactly what I just discovered as the best breathe up technique for me, ie inhale+double exhale to calm down, final inhale on the back and full inhale=belly plus chest.

Prior I did snorkel breathe up and purge breaths and was around 30 meters.

Now I'm doing 50 :)

One thing: it's an additional advantage of doing the final breath on your back that your belly/chest is higher in the water and thus under less pressure. This gives me a more relaxed feeling as I don't have to struggle to 'load up'.

Nice video :)
