I’m going to make a shaft. My question is how to drill align hole ( flopper hole and hole for atach spearline)? thanks

use a vice or a clamp to hold the shaft still. A drill press works best, but if you only have a hand-held drill, you can also make a jig by drilling a hole that is the diameter of the shaft through a piece of hard wood or aluminum stock and then drill a guide hole at 90 degrees through the middle with the bit size for your flopper pin. The shaft will slide through the jig and and you can drill a centered hole with less effort.

if you are using non stainless steel for the shaft you can anneal the section you want to drill first by getting it red hot and then putting it into some ashes so it cools slowly. then it should be a little softer and easier to drill. re-temper by heating the spot until it the color of the metal is like dry grass or straw and quench in some oil while it is hot. If you have stainless steel for the shaft-- buy a couple of drill bits and don't let them get too hot while drilling the shaft

I see that you are in Indonesia, so the shipping may make this impractical, but Pursuit Freediving and Spearfishing Gear has a little drill jig that will help to center and guide the bit. The two larger holes on top are for set screws that hole the shaft in position while drilling.

Thank you for your detailed answer. If I make a hole for spearline in the rear of the shaft then how to drill hole for flopper so these two holes aligned ?

I must say that from my experience you need to heat the spear & use a drill press.

I had to drill a hole in a piece of stainless steel shaft the other day to make a stringer. I clamped it in a metalwork vice, leveled it off, used a file to make a very small flat spot, then used a punch to get the starter hole. I don't have a drill press, so I used a hand drill set to a low speed (it also has a small bubble level built into the end to get a 90deg hole) I used two small bits to get the pilot hole through, and another two bits to get the desired diameter hole. As said in the post above, don't let the bits get too hot, and get the best quality ones you can. It will make drilling a lot easier.
