so i have gotton back into my crazy workout schedule and now my suit is hanging off me :head any advice as to wether i can tailor my own suit i was thinking to take some length out the shoulder straps and the beaver tail but will wetsuit glue hold the seams together or is there some were i can take my suit and have them adjust the size for me any advice?

Hi nz676,
I believe that the glue, rather than the stitching, is what holds the suit together, so it should work. The beaver tail on my Elios wetsuit has the toggle attached with a cord -- adjusting the length of the cord would provide some minor adjustment. Elios or a local wetsuit company might be willing to make the adjustments for you - a friend had his dry suit adjusted by a company in Portland, UK. But Elios prices are/were reasonable so that I think you'd probably be better off buying a new suit made to measure from them. Maybe save your current suit till you get older & fatter or bulk up:D - or sell it* (locally/eBay).

*I had a really nice Quintaneroo triathlon Long John wetsuit (good brand, not sure if they are still around) which I used for maybe 5 years but kept in really good condition. Sold it 10 years later (it didn't fit anymore) and I got a good price for it, probably about as much as I originally paid for it:).

Get yourself a new girl who feeds you a lot, that'll save you the trouble...

JK, your suit really was hanging off you a bit tonight =0)

well i cut the straps and the beaver tail down the suit is much more snug thanks for the advice how did the free immersion go there jen me and colin each got a nice green ling we ended up spearing for 5 hours water is a toast y 15 degrees

It was great, everyone made their targets except Annette who was having an off day and decided to withdraw, so it was a three way tie for 30m between me, Andrew, and Goh, and Greg did 29m.

Surface was super cosy but the thermocline was killer - so cold at the plate that the bottom camera batteries bailed out on us - too bad.

Glad to hear your self-custom-suit worked out!

I'm looking forward to getting back into the ocean, 15 degrees sounds great! Try to leave some fish for me to shoot with my camera =0)
