How to upload an animated gif into your signature?

How do you upload an animated .gif into your signature? I know it says that you can't do that, but I have seen people who have animated signatures eg. Miles

I have not tried an animated avatar - but I do have some standard ones listed in the edit avatar screen. What happens when you try? I thought it might be a "site supporter only" feature - but didn't see it anywhere in the benefits. Hopefully someone from the staff will chip in soon..

perhaps it is a site supporter feature, since you are one and so Miles,...hmmm I can't seem to think of a non-supporter who has a animated signature.

Do you have any animated signatures listed in the stock ones you can choose from?

If not - it probably is a site supporter feature. $10 a year is worth it for as valuable a resource DB is

When I go to User CP - Edit Avatar I get; my existing avatar above a screen with 9 pages of pre defined avatars (many annimated), then below a choice of uploading from my computer or uploading from a web site.

That should cover all the bases. I am not sure how much of this is the privelidge due staff. If someone who is a site supporter has a look and then someone who is a "standard" member looks we'll all know .
