Once again, I summon the great Deeperblue.gods in hopes that he/she/they/it/what-have-you may answer this pathetic mortal's inquiries.

Is there anyway to look up members by location?

The reason is, I'm going to Hawaii for New Years and I was hopefully gonna see if any buddies were around to hold some air with.

Oh, vengeful god/gods of Deeperblue, hear me and answer, for I have sacrificed 2 Yoohoo chocolate drinks in the amount of time it took me to type this post.

Uh, I think you just have to go through the member list and look for Hawai'ian names on their locations, then PM or email them. Tedious, what? Good luck, chappie.

I have noticed that many members don't bother to put their location. This makes it difficult to find out who is close to home and who isn't. I sometimes have the same problem - I want to find a buddy somewhere, but there isn't a quick way to search.

I can understand that it's not a great idea to put your street and house number, but the country and region is surely not too much.

Anyone who wants to find a buddy to hold some air with, remember to fill in your location...

I've taken your advice, my lovely little water nymph, and have summoned the courage needed to display my location to all of Deeperblue's curiosity. I hope I don't start getting too many private messages when they find out I'm nearby.

Thank you, Naiad.

Earth? I've been there before, it's not a bad place to get some diving done. O2 at 21%, better than the 10% of my home planet, so I'm hoping for some PBs during my next visit. With a water coverage of only 70%, it sounds like you sometimes have to travel to get some diving done. Where I'm based we live in aquapods, which are underwater air-filled capsules. Travelling from one home to another means holding our breath, so we get a lot of practice. Fortunately we can also absorb O2 through our skin. I don't know if this is considered cheating on Earth. I hope not, because I am planning to enter a competition soon. My nationality for the purposes of the competition will depend on which country has impressed me most with the quality of its DB members.

On my last trip to Earth everyone gave me funny looks when I held my breath on public transport. I hope this doesn't draw too much attention, as I wouldn't want to get discovered. I also didn't like the cold pools - anything less than the constant 32C I am used to seems very cold. Nobody understood why I was complaining.

I knew it, I just knew it!!! DBers moved here from Venus after it drifted too close to the sun...You sometimes find little hints like the D3 on the god's wrist in Sinky's pic above.

Warren, I would go to the Find a Buddy and Places to Dive and post in the US section as well as the Pacific section. You might get some response, then also try Bill directly from Hawaii.
