Hello all,

a newbie to the site. Am a Northern CA resident and Abalone diver/sometimes spearfisherman. Use a kayak mostly. Want to learn more about how to improve my breathhold diving ability. Have played in the waters of the northcoast for many years and am very comfortable in the water there, but my bottom time sucks badly. I workout several days per week, including some hardcore cardio, not overweight and don't smoke.

I am wound tight and think this high strung, hyper personality trait does not help me in H20. Can hold my breath static in water for over 2.5 minutes. Yet bottom time on a good dive is max of 30 seconds. ANY help in this area greatly appreciated.
