Hunting Pacific cod, pollock and hake

Does anyone have any information about spearfishing for pacific cod, pollock and hake? I have heard they like depth and structure. Can anyone confirm this? If you have seen them what depths did you see them in and what type of day was it (tides, weather etc?)
