Want to get some safety advice started for everyone, Firstly lets discuss bouys where do you think the best place is to attach them to yourself? Anyone use a innertube with plastic washing tub in the middle with a diving flag on the top, I have picture if you wnat to see. It is very helpful you can strap a small pnumatic on it keep the fish in it

Funny you should ask, I was mulling over this yesterday. I always clip my gun to the end of my floatline -- avoids loosing the gun. I don't anticipate the need to use the float to fight fish (in this country). However, I got a weight belt in the Autumn and considered attaching it to my float line instead of(/along with) my gun -- to prevent loss. Having never seen this done -- I figured it was better to stick with a well known method, with no direct attachment. Since, then I lost my belt crossing a hidden rock barrier...doh! However, others are discussing belt attachment on another thread currently.

It might be possible to attach to both belt & gun ... similar to the technique described for working with two guns (e.g. attach one with a lanyard a metre or two up the float line). However, I am cautious about experimenting too much with a loaded speargun. Tangles & trapped lines should be another consideration.
