Phew... what a day!!
First off i would like to say a huge thank you to everone on Deeperblue, for all of the help, and advice from you all over the last year or so! I really wouldnt have been able to enjoy anywhere near half of the experiences that i had over the summer (personal best bass, and mullet), let alone the info on gear etc. Also its been a pleasure to chat with all of you, and hear about the different experiences in different areas of the globe

Now about my day.... a few of you will know about me wanting to begin SCUBA diving for a hobby, and prospects in the future, and today i have been pushed a step closer!
At 1ish my parents suprised me by takign me and peteyH down to kennack sands for a 2hour taster session in the pool, to liven up my otherwise dull January day! I learned basics on equipment, mask clearing, reg changes etc... and all of the other newbie tricks that most of you will be o so familiar with! I also managed to crack equalisation, which was very satisfying, however one ear seems to be alot more comfortable than the other
!
They also gave me a voucher to be used to choose a diving course to gain a qualification!!!!
!!! I think i am going to hold off on using it though untill mid sumemr when the sea is at a more civilised temp... i wouldnt have liked to be in the sea today!!!
Also got a great diving book approved by the BSAC which looks like a great read along with many other things!!!
Once again a huge thankyou to everyone, i have had such an amazing day, and i'll remeber it for a long time
