I've been thinking about sea-hiking/ hydro-touring and rather than take someone else's name combined the two great ideas into one and came up with the above. Anyhow I just wanted to kick off this idea, keep in mind I'm serious just not 100% comitted to the idea just yet, just want to gauge interest in it. Seeing how there are so many divers and spearo's around the Great Lakes I thought it would be a great idea to bring us together this summer for a hydro-hike. Thumbnail idea Start at the southern tip of the Upper Pennisula of Michigan and swim the Island Chain to Wisconsin . Here a tail of the tape Michigan Main to Little Summer Isl, (.8 mi) to Summer Isl (1.5 mi) to Poverty Isl. (1.0 mi.) to Gull Isl.(2.6 mi.) to St. Martin Isl.(1.8) to Rock Isl. (4.5) then wade to Washington Isl to plum Isl. (1.6 mi.) to Wisconsin Main (1.5 mi.) and Finished (party really hard) The First Michigan to Wisconsin Hydro-Hike. I was thinking August. This could be a great thing just needs a couple hundred opinions and ideas and a few participants to make it work. The best, part currently there are no sharks in the Great Lakes. Please Swing Away
