Hydropneumatic speargun “Black Sea” 1000x9-A - Made by Aquatech - S.F.Kravchenko

"Black Sea (А)1000x9-A" is speargun with rear handle and it built with hydropump.
Diameter of a concentric barrel of 30 mm. The barrel is made of stainless steel AISI 304, working pressure in a concentric barrel of a gun - 100 bar.
The gun can be used at sea as it is constructed of stainless steel and anodized aluminum.

Length of the gun cm. 119
Lungh. of thebarrel cm. 100
Calibre of a barrel, mm. 9
Energy of a spear, Joules 400

Easy loading of the speargun. The loading effort can be interrupted anytime during the loading process - the spear will not come out even if the diver releases the loader, for example, due to a momentary lack of strength, so that the gun can be loaded in several stages.

The gun work silently. Pneumatic spearguns produce noise because of the impact of the piston hitting the plug bushing in the end of the barrel. This noise is not present in hydropneumatic guns as they have no piston. Instead of the piston, the hydropneumatic gun uses an incompressible column of water to propel the spear from the gun.

The gun power. The power of the gun can be varied by pumping, with the hydropump, more or less water. The shooting power can be varied, in any time, by pulling the shaft forward after the gun is fully loaded. This reduces the distance of the spear acceleration in the gun's barrel. The power reduction can vary from 100% (spear fully inserted) to 0% (spear pulled nearly out). The spear will not fall out if the "O" ring on the shaft tail is in good condition.

The design of the gun excludes the possibility of an incidental shot. The hydropneumatic gun, in the worst case, will start leaking water from the hydraulic locking chamber thus allowing only the spear to move gradually out of the barrel.

Maintenance simplicity is ensured by the small number of parts of the gun. The photo shows the main parts of the trigger mechanism.

The gun work without lossing air. The air is pumped into the gun's concentric barrel reservoir to be made only once and after that the gun will work reliably for several seasons.

The gun is protected from corrosion. The interior barrel of the gun is made of stainless steel. All aluminum parts and concentric barrel reservoir are hard anodized for increased protection.

ISTRUCTIONS
Enter the water with the spear removed and the line release lever swung out to the open position after pulling the trigger to release it. With the gun totally submerged, or at least submerged at the rear end, operate the hydropump lever to flood the hydropump's tubular body and the gun's internal locking chamber; four or five full strokes of the rear hydropump lever should be sufficient.
Next flood the speargun's barrel with water and then insert the spear and push it down into the barrel until it reaches the end of its travel. Very little effort will be required as the water injected during this process will be exiting through the open trigger valve. Then with the gun fully submerged pull the spear out of the barrel to about half way and then push it back in again. This action pumps more water through the gun's barrel eliminating any remaining air bubbles in the barrel.
Now you can proceed to load the gun with a number of strokes in proportion to the power that you want to have.
