Hello, I am new to this forum and have never been diving, but I would like to take a beginner free diving course and learn the ropes. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best school or location to do so safety and with the right direction?
Thank you. I apologize if my post lacks the correct terminology or knowledge, I am completely new to this world.

If you want to get a level 1/2 certification - many places can do it for you and all instructors will be certified and acceptable. take a look here: https://www.aidainternational.org/Education/AIDAFreedivingCourses to see if you are qualified for taking classes. A bigger issue for you would be to find a school since you are from Maryland and diving conditions in that part of the USA are far from enjoyable. There are plenty of courses held in warmer climate - Florida or Egypt if you want to make it more exotic. Do a search and figure out what works for you.

Thank you very much !
