Sorry I didn't say anything before I checked in but I finally bit the bullet and went for the surgery that Sven recommended. Only I did the entire deal, tonsils, deviated septum, lifted soft palate, removed uvula . . . Surgery is no fun and I intend to avoid it in the future but hopefully I'll be well enough to give the local lobsters a try before the season closes.

looks like it was tough call there sarge, glad to see you're up and about, glad im not a lobster sir! :)

Get well soon--let me know about the tonsil thing mine are horrendous and at 48 yo I am really considering them out.

It's not really bad. My major problem was with the pain killers. Turns out I'm allergic to all narcotics! However, now that all of those are washed out of my system I'm coping quite well with just Tylenol. And boy can I breath!

Sounds like you have been thoroughly drilled out. Why did they remove your uvula? At least you can breathe now. Congrats on a successful surgery.

Well done Sarge and you’ll be up and in the water before you know it.
Bring on the Lobster’s :):)

As for pain relief I wholly recommend a good single malt Whiskey, and lots of it!:friday

Glad to see all is well now mate :)

Hope for a speedy recovery and plenty of dinners to follow :)

Tough, Sarge. I was wondering how could I make you feel better somehow, and this is the best idea that came to mind so far:

Hope it makes your diving feel even better :)

Good luck with the recovery.

Spaghetti, Sarge goes to all that trouble to be able to breathe easier, and here you go taking his breath away. Shame on you!

Sarge, I hope you recover quickly and that your diving and general experience improves exponentially. You'll probably even sleep better, this might even reduce any snoring one may have.

Well I certainly feel better haha.
Sarge good on you for going under the knife.
And if you have any idea how to get to Sven, I'd love to know.
Cheers,
Erik

Grazie, Spaghetti. That is one of the best . . . black . . . bikinis . . . around!

And I like the other one, too! :D

The whole thing came to a head when I read an article stating that trying to sleep with someone who snores can give you hypertension, or make it worse. That did it! I know that I snored like a steam driven chainsaw and that Mama has high blood pressure. Enough was enough. I've still got the packing up my nose but taking a deep breath is amazing. My tonsils had so closed my throat off that the doc was surprised that I could breathe at all at night. Also my voice, which has never been what anyone would call quiet, is even bigger than before. Shoulda had this done when I was calling cadence! :D

My wife snores like a steam driven chainsaw! Her nose was hit when she was a "Pro" volleyball player, and her snoring might be the long term payback for the injury.
Luckily, she still has got those beautiful volleyball slender LEGS to keep my hypertension low :inlove

(many men say women's legs are not important, as they're the first thing you throw aside rofl But I'm definitely a legs-man in my attitude towards women)

A Quick recovery Sarge, can't wait to hear how equalization is after compared to before.

Outstanding effort spago, as usual. "Una Morenaza" as they would say here.

Sarge hope the recovery goes well and the great results keep coming.

One more rotten night and then tomorrow the packing comes out and I'll be able to breathe! Now, how soon will the doc turn me loose on the lobsters . . . ?
