I had idea at last Cayman Comp to promote more use of PB (personal bests) for competition announcements and results at AIDA comps. Not sure would be a rule or just to encourage folks to fill it out and comps to report it.
Idea for depth would be for people to put like PB+4m on their announcments, this way the safety divers would know was PB and other divers and spectators too. Would make a bit more exciting to watch, maybe a bit safer and easier for safety divers and if the competitions reported PB's along with National and World Records would give clout to competitions that fostered atmosphere where athletes excel. This is what is fun for me at the Grand Cayman PF Comp, being with lots of different folks who are not necessarily competing against each other, often different countries for national records etc, or same countries and one focused on no fins and the other with fins and many helping each other out. Would be cool to know what compeitions have the greatest rates of personal bests for instance.
