Hiiii everyone!!

I was looking at a few fins that are relatively cheap. All I am doing is casual free diving and mostly cruising around with the fish and seals.

I found a few options on the beginning free diving thread. I was wondering if I could get any feedback on the pros and cons of each of the soon to follow listed fins and the one you guys with experience would recommend.

Cressi Gara 3000 LD
Cressi Gara 3000 HD -Whats the difference between the two?
Cressi Gara 2000 HF - Whats the difference between the 2000 and 3000?

Beuchat Munial Competition
Beuchat Munial Sport -Whats the difference between the two?

Based on this hopfully I can get some good suggestions on what to look for.
Thanks a lot for your time guy/gals.

Hi,i use gara 2000hf and i have to say that it is really stiff fin(after 1 hour in the water i´m realy tired-but i´m not well trainned in these days) on the other side the footpocket is great you can use it without socks ,but if you are in good condition it may be very cheap and quite good choice for you.My friend has a pair of gara 3000,and i think it is much more better than gara 2000,the footpocket is softer but main advantage of them is in their softness with good stroke.I tried beuchat mundial comp. too but only for a while and than i cant consider it.I wish you a good choice.

hi Tommy

well, the first and main difference between gara 2000 and 3000 is that the blade is 10% longer on gara 3000 model. and also the blade stifness varies on different parts of the blade.
i think there are two gara 3000 versions LD and the regular one. LD stands for "long distance" and those are a bit softer and are ment for longer dives.

have you maybe considered this new model???

You can't go wrong with the Cressi's. They some of the best plastic fins around and are a great value too. Just keep in mind that they tend to be narrow at the footpocket, so it is important that you get to try them first.

I would go with the 3000 rather than the older 2000. What is your height, weight and fitness level? That will help you make a better choice between the softer LD, or the harder HD.

Cheers,
Claudio
