This may seem a bit obvious, but I'm putting together a new float / line rig and I'm wondering what type of rope i.e. - diameter, material, and weave - would be best for constant weight/free imersion.
Also, how much weight at the bottom where one person could lie on the float and pull it up by hand? This rig would not be attached to a fixed line on the sea bottom, but drifting on the surface.
Some things I thought about were -
1. Free imersion would require a thicker rope and more weight.
2. Not a poly rope as it floats and I don't want to add bouyancy, or do I?
3. I could use a weight plate like at the gym on the benchpress to serve as
both the plate and weight.
