If money was no object what bi-fins would you buy?
c4's?
Beauchat
etc etc...

thanks

If money was no object (but it is for me) I'd get me a pair of C4 Mustang Vgr T700 (the new 2008/09 type with a superior quality of carbon fiber, a more comfortable footpocket and more efficient water rails). I've heard all enthustiastic comments on these ones.

And if was no object I'd throw in the basket a Riva Aquarama too
...

if $ was no object, I'd be diving in warm clear water almost every day and would want

speciafins hybrid mediums in beauchat pockets for spearing, or maybe soft hybrids in the old Dessault pockets, same use.
c4 25s or similar in Dessault pockets for reef cruising at less than 25 m.
a whole assortment of Mustangs and other special foot pockets to experiment with.

What a nice thought.

Here's a second vote for the C4 Mustang Vgr T700's.

I'd also like a pair of the Mustang VGR 81's- as long as money was no object.

cheers

so to clarify.

fins are to be used for deep boat diving only... no rock hopping...
spearing and freediving...

you cant choose more than one fin...

What ya mean, one fin. Who do you think we are?????? I thought $ was no object. No fair changing the rules after I had such a nice day dream.

Anyway, if its one fin and you want to spear, blades with a big side rail, like c4s are not very maneuverable and blades like specialfin hybrids are better. The hybrid is a fabulous spearo fin, just make sure you get the right stiffness.

I'll pass and just use my old C4-81s, thanks.

depends on depth, spearing really dont need to go all that deep so a nice pair of glass fins or a pair of Omer Rekord carbons, then for freediving get yourself a good monofin there is just no comparison when it comes to freediving1

glidemonofin of course,or the matmas monofin the new wich as a good folding on the center I don't recomend the c4 81 cause their stering is to difficult for bi fins hibrid dessault carbon, beauchat carbon, or the new cressi professional are great

I sometimes dive with small split snorkling fins if u have just a glide skin without weight they are not bad

I recommend to spend first on a good suit for comfort and glide reasons the diamond or shark skin mesh are great and have enough roughness

And if was no object I'd throw in the basket a Riva Aquarama too
...[/QUOTE]

Ha, ha!...that cracks me up Spaghetti,...classic....I can see a team of Italians diving off a Riva Aquarama...

yes a beautiful boat !!

I have a Beuchat Carbon for Pool and Snorkeling with friends, a DiveR fiberglass for spearfishing and Spierre Pure Carbons for open water freediving. Now if money doesnt matter, buy all the fins that was listed in this thread then you can decide which one is your best fins ever...am i right or am i wrong?

Cheers:friday:friday:friday

Blimey, I've never even heard of those DRW. I've got to wonder what they're like too.
Bit off the subject but is the "Old George" still open in the big market? I used to go there as a teenager.

the reason i asked this the parameter 'money was no object' is it acts like an exercise to overcome people saying a set of fins are great value for money.. All i want to try to find out is what is the best performing bi-fin to be used for spearfishing / freediving

thanks for your input

i think im leaning towards a beauchat carbon fin/footpocket
